I am so glad I finally decided to read this book.  It’s got all of your typical fantasy adventure themes that we all know and love with the added bonus of a very powerful and interesting magic.  The ability to manipulate memories in various ways.  I mean, what can you do when you don’t know if the things you remember are real or not?  It’s a truly scary thing to think about.   As for everything else, I loved the characters and the main story arc.  The only character I felt was a bit of an underperformer was the main villain.  But the secondary villain kind of made up for him so together they were like one really evil villain. lol.  

This book is very long and can kind of seem intimidating however, as I read I found I didn’t really feel like it.  At no point was a bored or did I think that the story was dragging.  I was especially impressed with the description of the fighting.  If you’re a fan of Escrima at all I think you’ll really like the way this fighting style mimics it.  If you’re looking for a new fantasy book to read I you should give this one a shot.  I think you’ll find it’s a fun read that just keeps you wanting more.  Read it and see for yourself.
