The Cornerstone of Good Men
What makes Fortitude a cornerstone?
Fortitude is “the mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously” You must have the Fortitude to stand up for the other 3 cornerstones. Without which, those other cornerstones will be destroyed; and the foundation with them.
Why is this important?
We have seen what has become of this country with too many people who are apathetic to what has been happening. The “it’s not my problem” attitude. What I’m trying to avoid is you finding out that you were wrong far too late to be able to do anything about it. Without Fortitude to stand up for your beliefs and your rights, those who can abuse you will do so every chance they get. As they have.
How does this relate to the country?
The government will always want more power. They will always try and take from you your God given rights. But only if you let them. If you don’t have the fortitude to stand up to them. Be strong, knowing that those rights don’t come from government. They didn’t give them, they can’t take them away.
What can I do?
Live the other 3 cornerstones with pride. Don’t let people talk you down. They will call you names, try to belittle your beliefs, tell you you’re too stupid to understand. Don’t listen. Stand up for your beliefs. Encourage those around you to do so as well. Teach your kids to be strong. Not to give into group think. Be Free in both mind and body. It is easy to control a mindless zombie. Not a strong willed Freethinker.
