Another good book in the Starshatter Sci-fi opera.  Our heroes now embark on their most dangerous mission; to liberate and entire planet….of course if it was just our heroes it would be impossible.  Luckily there’s a lot of help out there to be had.  Our heroes launch a daring plan, to win with the art of losing.  Sounds confusing doesn’t it?  It’s not but you’ll have to read to find out why.  lol.  But wait, Lord Omasa has plans of his own for this little planet.  To be his staging ground for the fight against the humans.  Get ready for another epic clash between the two great leaders!

This book has a lot.  As that’s the major problem with it.  There’s just so much to digest it can get to be too much.   For example, I thought there was way too much technobabble this time, a bit too much of unnecessary descriptions, and a little too much of the mundane reality that we know is there but we don’t really want to read about, like taking sensor readings.   I felt like these things took away from the story, which was a shame because that was really good.  Don’t get me wrong.  It’s still a good book, but of all the things I’ve read by Black Knight, this was the one I’ve enjoyed the least.    If it was trimmed down a bit I think it could have been a much better book.  But that’s my opinion.  Want to prove me wrong?  Read the book for yourself and see what you think.  I still think it was worth my time.  And I think it will be worth yours as well.
