The series keeps going strong.  Unlike the first two books that focused on the main crew, this book gives us a view of the fighting forces of the minarchy of Earth.  And a glimpse of the true evil being perpetrated by the enemies of Earth.  There are epic space battles as well as epic ground battles in this one.  The only thing missing was and epic sea battle, lol.  There really isn’t too much for me to add that hasn’t already been said about the other books.  I really loved the development of the main villain in this, as well as the development of his underlings.  Also quite enjoyed the relationship between the “sheriff” and the “outlaw biker”.

Overall I found this to be a very enjoyable book but a bit on the slower side.  And I must admit, I had a bit of a problem with the ending.  But I can’t really go into that without spoiling things so I won’t.  I would put this book pretty much on par with the first one.  A very enjoyable space opera indeed.
