Well I’ll probably get a lot of flack for this but I don’t like this book.  Not the first time this has happened.  Still haven’t finished Moby Dick and I probably never will.  But I did get through this book because it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as that one.  To me it came across as being bombastic for the sake of being bombastic.  And sometimes I don’t really mind that but for the most part I really don’t care for that kind of attitude.  I honestly don’t even really remember any of the characters in the book.  None of them were memorable to me.  The only thing I remember about the book is that a bunch of kids break into a place and destroy it.  That’s about it.  

The book is pretty nonsensical.  There is little of a plot.  None of the characters are memorable and reading it doesn’t really add anything to your life.  Personally, I have no idea why this book is so famous or lauded.  I don’t think anybody should read this book.  Unless you have to pick between this and Moby Dick.  That’s about it.
