The Science of God by Gerald L Schroeder is a difficult read.  I won’t beat  around the bush on this one.  But it can also be a mind blowing one.  Especially for those who ascribe to the belief that science and a belief in God are diametrically opposed.  This book does an excellent job of showing why that is not the case.  If you have a hard time with physics and mathematics this is not the book for you.  The part that blew my mind in particular was how he showed that both the bible(the 6 day creation) and science(13.8 billion years) are correct but are from different views.  But basically it involves the speed of light and expansion of the universe with larger numbers and formulas and stuff.  I won’t attempt to explain it because I could never do it justice.  If you want to understand it you’ll just have to read it for yourself.  

He also tackles evolution, dinosaurs, and why bad things happen to good people.  Honestly, one of the most interesting books I’ve ever read but I’ve had plenty of people who have tried to read this book that couldn’t get through it.  So it might be better to check it out of a library.  Because the book is difficult to read I’m taking a star off the rating but I still think you should at least give it a shot.  However, if you’re a lover of science and math, like I am, you will likely find this book interesting.  Even if you don’t agree with the premise.
